Think of this one as sitting between a dubbel and a Märzen. Its base is 100% floor malted Czech pilsner and Munich malt with Saaz hops in the kettle. For can conditioning, we used dark candi syrup for an extra touch of aroma and colour. On the nose, there's biscuit, some sweetness, and a subtle touch of fruit and spice. On the palate, the complexity of the malt comes through, with biscuit, a touch of toffee, and some plum. The lingering sweetness is balanced by mild bitterness. This is a perfect sipper as we move from summer to fall. And do some light reading.
